Adding Joystix Pro rules to the Windows Firewall

This is a short guide on how to add an exception to windows firewall.

First, we need to open windows firewall. You can open it by clicking the start button and then click "Control Panel".


Next, click System and Security.


Now click on Windows Firewall


On the top left of the new window will be a link to "Allow a program or feature through windows firewall". Click it


Click "Allow another program"


Next, click the "Browse" button.


In the window that shows up you will need to navigate in the window that just opened to where you have Joystix Pro installed. By default on a 64 bit install of windows that will be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Joystix Pro" and on a 32 bit install it will be "C:\Program Files\Joystix Pro". Once you are in that directory double click on "Joystix.exe".

Now, click on the "Add" button.


Next, make sure all the boxes to the right of your new Joystix Pro entry are checed.


Finally, click "Ok".


Congratulations! You have now configured windows firewall to allow Joystix Pro to communicate with the mothership.
